Uses of Atorsave D Tablet
Atorsave D 10 Tablet is used in the treatment of high cholesterol.
How to use Atorsave D Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Atorsave D 10 Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Atorsave D 10 Tablet works
Atorsave D 10 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and Vitamin D3. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). However, it produces muscle pain. Vitamin D3 is added as correcting its deficiency helps relieve muscle pain induced by Atorvastatin.
Common Nausea, Stomach pain, Constipation, Muscle pain, Weakness, Dizziness, Headache, Increased glucose level in blood.
